The Wyoming Computer Science Teachers Association (WCSTA) proudly joined WACTE as its newest division in 2024. This unique division encompasses educators from K-12 to postsecondary, fostering collaboration across all levels of education. At the annual summer conference, members from all divisions will have access to professional development opportunities designed for every stage of teaching, from delivering computer science instruction to building confidence in utilizing and leveraging technology effectively in the classroom.

I’m a Computer Science Teacher at Casper Classical Academy with over two decades of passion in Career and Technical Education (CTE). My background spans business, instructional technology, robotics, video editing, entrepreneurship, and educational grant writing. This year, I’m especially energized about expanding our CS integration—bridging technology and teamwork in ways that truly empower our students with 21st-century skills.
As President, I’m deeply committed to amplifying your voice, shaping statewide CS education policy, and growing our collective community through both WCSTA and WACTE.

President Elect
Brooke George
Wyoming CSTA
Brooke George has been an educator for 16 years, with eight of those years serving as a Librarian and Computer Science teacher. Having spent most of her life in Wyoming, she is passionate about making learning engaging, meaningful, and accessible for all students. Brooke loves teaching computer science and focuses on creating interactive experiences that help students build confidence and curiosity in technology. She currently works as a Curriculum Developer at Skill Struck, where she helps design computer science and AI literacy curriculum for classrooms. Brooke is also passionate about supporting fellow educators by sharing ideas, strategies, and resources that make teaching computer science easier and more exciting. Outside of her work in education, she is a proud wife and mother of three wonderful daughters.

Gwen Crandall
Pinedale Middle/High School
Gwen Crandall has been teaching technology and STEAM in western Wyoming for over 13 years. She launched her career with the elementary grades and currently teaches 8th-12 graders in Pinedale. She loves finding ways for students to express themselves creatively and work together to solve problems using tech. When she is not teaching, Gwen enjoys hiking, boating, skiing, reading, and spending time with her family.

Megan Garnhart
WACTE Executive Director
Megan Garnhart taught for 13 years as a Wyoming educator, including seven years in elementary and six years teaching Computer Science and Business at Sheridan High School, before stepping into her role as WACTE Executive Director.
Megan is a proud University of Wyoming College of Education alumna and a Poke through and through. In addition to her bachelor's degree, Megan pursued her passion for STEM education and obtained her master's degree from Concordia University.
Megan is a former WACTE President and Chair of the Promotions Committee, in addition to her work as WCSTA Past President and Treasurer.
Outside of work, Megan stays busy chasing her two kids with her husband, Kasey. Megan and her family love fly fishing, camping, and anything in the mountains. Megan believes strongly in Career and Technical Education and its fundamental importance for the future of Wyoming students and the Wyoming workforce.
