Wyoming Business Educators Association
The Wyoming Business Educators Association (WBEA) proudly joined WACTE serves as a vital network for business education professionals across the state. Comprised primarily of business teachers, WBEA members are often also deeply involved in shaping future leaders through their roles as FBLA and DECA advisors. This association fosters professional development, collaboration, and advocacy, ensuring that Wyoming's students receive high-quality business education and opportunities to excel in competitive events.

Mindy Kelley
High School Business Teacher
Mindy is in her sixteenth year at Guernsey-Sunrise Schools and her sixth year as the business teacher. Before transitioning to business education, she worked as a special education paraprofessional, supporting students in grades kindergarten through twelfth. She earned a bachelor's degree in business education from Valley City State University and a Master of Business Administration from Western Governors University. Mindy serves as the FBLA sponsor, Close Up sponsor, Work-Based Learning Coordinator, and Purple Star School liaison.
In her free time, Mindy enjoys camping in the mountains with her family and friends and spending time working in her yard and garden.

Nate Reinhardt
Wyoming Indian HS
Nate Reinhardt has been teaching business for 25 years, with 15 of those years in Wyoming. For the past seven years, he has been at Wyoming Indian High School, where he has played a key role in expanding the school’s student-based business. Under his guidance, students now operate projects that include large format printing, laser engraving, custom powder coating, plaques, and apparel. Through these ventures, students gain hands-on experience in business operations while developing valuable workplace and job skills.
In addition to teaching, Mr. Reinhardt has served as both an FBLA advisor and a SkillsUSA advisor. His focus is on providing students with opportunities to engage with emerging technologies and build a strong understanding of the workplace environment.
Outside of school, Nate enjoys supporting his daughter and son in their sports and activities. He also spends much of his free time outdoors, fishing and hunting.

Secretary & Treasurer
Shawna Michelena
High School Computer Science and Business
Shawna brings 26 years of experience to her role as a business education and computer science teacher at Tongue River High School. Beyond her classroom responsibilities, she serves as the FBLA adviser and building technology liaison. Shawna's commitment to FBLA extends to the state level, where she currently serves on the State FBLA Board. Her extensive career in education encompasses a variety of roles, including museum curator of education, youth and family services coordinator, early childhood special educator, middle school teacher, and adjunct college instructor.
A dedicated lifelong learner, Shawna holds degrees from the University of Wyoming, Sheridan College, Chadron State University, and South Dakota State University. She is actively involved in professional organizations and currently serves as the WBEA Secretary/Treasurer. Her prior leadership experience includes serving as WACTE President, Region V Fellow, Region V Policy Committee member, and WACTE/WBEA Teacher of the Year.
Shawna and her husband, Josh, are the parents of three actively-involved children.
